Does anyone really enjoy traveling? I mean, I love seeing new places, but how much fun can it be sitting in cars, trains, or planes for hours without end. I don’t like traveling, but I love going to interesting destinations. In a completely non-spiritually minded post today, I want to highlight the top ten places I would like to visit before I die. Of course, if God doesn’t allow that, I am content because I look for a city whose builder and maker is God and maybe in eternity, God will allow me the opportunity to travel instantly to all the places I would like to see. These top ten are in no particular order.
Whitehaven Beach, Australia–Whereas, the outback of Australia has never really intrigued me, I am not really a fan of being around the world’s most deadly of anything. The beaches of Australia appear stunning to me.
Machu Picchu, Peru–Being a history lover, the Incan story intrigues me. Being a lover of mountains the beauty astounds me.
Turkey/Greece, the Steps of Paul–What a privilege it would be to trace the footsteps of Paul the Apostle as he preached in Athens, wintered on the Mediterranean islands, and passed through Cyprus.
Alaska, USA–The beauty of cold Alaska warms the heart of this Wyoming kid. Alaska, the last American Frontier.
African Safari–Since I am not educated in African Safaris (go figure) I couldn’t pinpoint one specific place. Whether the Serengeti to the famous preserve, Kenya, or Zimbabwe to also get a view of Victoria Falls. One thing I know for certain, I don’t want to be “roughing it” in these places.
I only put five destinations in this post. Hopefully, I will be able to put five more soon. In thinking of the variety God has created, how can we not turn our eyes to the Almighty in utter helpless adoration.
