Bible Word Cloud

I saw this over at Tim Challies’ blog and was greatly moved by the images from this video clip. Those who know me well, know that I believe strongly in contextual interpretation of Scripture and that Word of God if not interpreted in its context is not interpreted rightly. Therefore, I do not think that the process of making a list of the most used words in the Bible is enough when studying and applying the Holy Scripture.  However, when I sat and watched this video clip, my eyes welled up with tears at the thought that my Lord God has revealed himself in the Holy Scripture as Truth-to me, a sinner. O wretched me! how often I lose focus on my one purpose in life-to know and proclaim the glory and worth of the Lord God Almighty. This video helped me slow down spiritually, emotionally, physically and just meditate on the greatness of God in revealing Himself in all of his Holy Word. For those who do not know how a word cloud works, the creator compiles a list of the most common instances of a word in a particular text and often will sort out common words like “the, and, but,” etc. In this way, the product reveals the emphasis of the selected text.  You can visit a website where these projects can be purchased as posters.  www.66clouds.com
